- Under 800 live viewers on YouTube.
- Hiding their live views on TikTok
- No official Twitch stream.
The issue is NOT that the player base is not interested in competition. The issue is HOW the competition is set-up and communicated.
Unfortunately, Riot will just look at the numbers and continue to believe it’s not worth investing in Wild Rift esports.
There is a huge opportunity to run inclusive grass roots tournaments in each region that will qualify to a global event. Instead we get an invite only? event that excludes NA & EU.
Esports is always built from the ground up. You can’t force community interest for events they have no connection with.
