@WALLACHLEGAL Of course, the CFTC could simply limit CFTC regulated entities to Accredited or Sophisticated Investors. Well within their regulatory powers, no? Leave retail customers to state regulated sports books and casinos.

"The next online casino loophole may be built on top of CFTC-regulated prediction markets, and it could fall outside of both federal and state jurisdiction. The model: HHR-style casino games powered by prediction market contracts rather than historical horse race results." 👇

@Anon76546854773 @asianick85 @DanielJHannan Spread represents uncertainty in the inflation forecast plus a return to the lender for allowing the borrower to use their money. For a large economy sovereign issuer liquidity is not a significant issue.

One aspect of gilt pricing not affected by inflation is simply supply and demand. If the government increases issuance, that means they need to find more buyers than before, those prospective buyers were not interested at the current yield, so yield must increase to attract them. Under your model of inflation expectations being the sole determinant of bond prices, how do you explain short dated gilts attracting a higher rate than inflation? What determines that spread?

This bizarre Leftist tendency to anthropomorphise the markets, to treat them as if they had preferences and prejudices. The bond markets don’t care whether you are Left or Right. They don’t even care whether your spending is high or low. All they care about is whether it is in balance. If you want to borrow money, creditors will assess whether they will get it back, and will ask a premium to lend to risky prospects. That premium means that Britain is now spending £110 billion a year on servicing past debt – more than on education, and twice as much as on defence.

I have wanted to have world class odds data for a very long time for $GAMB. It has so many uses. We repeatedly thought about building it and passed, as it is a hard product to build. We evaluated many possible acquisitions and finally found the right one and went for it. Going from 1 to 10 is a lot easier than going from zero to 1. Hard part behind us for the data business. Long list of platform add-ons we can implement going forward to increase data TAM

We are about to have our seventh prime minister in a decade. Has Britain become the new Italy? What is going on? The truth is that we are in denial about what we have done to our economy. We have become poorer through excessive taxation, spending, borrowing, regulation and money-printing. But we don’t like to admit it. A recent survey by @IEALondon found that we think of ourselves as a wealthy country, comparable to Singapore or Switzerland. In fact, Singaporeans and Swiss are roughly twice as rich as us, and we are about to be overtaken by Poland and Slovenia. How did it happen? There is no mystery. Under Tony Blair, the state was spending one pound in three; now it is closer to one in two. We say we want growth, but we don’t want it if it means cutting welfare, allowing more private healthcare, reducing taxes for entrepreneurs, liberalising employment law, raising the state pension age, sacking government employees, admitting skilled immigrants, ending the triple lock or allowing new houses near us. In other words, we don’t really want growth at all. Rather that acknowledging that contradiction, we blame our politicians. But as long as we make it politically impossible to cut spending (see the attached story as just the most recent example, one of a hundred I might have picked), we condemn ourselves to penury. It will carry on until we have leaders prepared to deliver growth, as opposed to intoning the word. And that will happen only when we accept that we were living beyond our means even before the lockdown, that we have become utterly bloated since and that, like an obese person who wants to become fit, we face some short-term pain. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

About a third of people don't know if the site they play on is regulated or not. A quarter of people think they're playing on a regulated site when they aren't - Spanish data from a while back, but probably still holds.
Casinos.com@casinosc0m

The UKGC reported a 67% URL takedown rate for illegal gambling sites in 2025-26. 397,527 reported. 266,667 removed. 741 cease-and-desist notices. 1,134 sites disrupted. Thankyou @AllisonPearson and @LiamHalligan for the opportunity to share our view on ‘Planet Normal’ of the dangers of @UKLabour encouraged “lawfare” against our military; and explain again why this is not just a moral issue, but a national security issue. As for those elected politicians that seek to push this NI Bill through the commons and into law, either by their direct support or by their crafty abstentions, I offer you an observation made by the great Abraham Lincoln: “Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.” The world is watching…
The Telegraph@Telegraph

‘It opens up opportunities for our enemies, be they Republican sponsored, be they Iranian sponsored, be they Russian sponsored, to continue to cripple our armed forces…’ On this week’s Planet Normal former Commander of 22 SAS, Richard Williams, tells @AllisonPearson and @LiamHalligan why he is disappointed in the The Northern Ireland Troubles Bill vote this week 🎧👉telegraph.co.uk/planet-normal/

What was long suspected is now proven. Attorney General Hermer has been part of a group of ideologically-motivated, government-embedded, Human Rights lawyers that have acted in a vexatious and biased way to persecute British soldiers, not because they broke the law, but to serve some twisted anti-military, anti-British agenda. They, their greed (the made a lot of money doing it), and their crippling ideology, have deliberately misapplied the 1988 UK Human Rights Act to British military operations in ways that not only create a never-ending conveyor belt of Veteran persecutions but also fundamentally undermine Britain’s ability to wage war and thereby defend itself. For the love of Country, he must step down.

No, it stands for English civilisation winning. You stand for putting treacherous lawyers who collaborate with criminals in charge of lawfare against the SAS. A future regime will jail your mate Hermer and RICO through your network RETWEET IF AGREE

Today is St George's Day. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Your patron saint wasn't English. Your flag wasn't English either. Here's why we claimed them both. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧 He was from Cappadocia. Modern Turkey. A Roman soldier. The Praetorian Guard. Diocletian's personal bodyguard. 303 AD. The Emperor orders him to persecute Christians. He refuses. Walks into the throne room. Tells the Emperor his order is cruel. They offer him his life back. Gold. Land. His old command. He refuses again. 23rd of April, 303. They behead him. 1,723 years ago today. The flag was Genoese. 1099. Their navy was so feared that Barbary pirates turned home at the sight of it. In 1190, Richard the Lionheart signed a treaty. English ships could fly the cross for protection. We flew it so long we forgot it wasn't ours. In 2018, the Mayor of Genoa wrote to the Queen asking for 247 years of back rent. She didn't reply. Edward III makes George our patron saint. Henry V cries his name at Agincourt. A Roman soldier from Cappadocia became the name Englishmen died for. We didn't inherit our patron saint. We chose him. And we chose a soldier who refused. That is your history. This is who we are. 🇬🇧 We find what Britain has forgotten. And we tell it properly. proudofus.co.uk/support Be part of us. Be Proud Of Us. 🙏🇬🇧

ELON MUSK: “You can tell which side is the good side & which side is the bad side by which side wishes to restrict freedom of speech. The side that is restricting freedom of speech, had very strong censorship, very strong restrictions on speech. That's one of the signs that they are the bad guys. It makes it very clear that the left is the side that is against freedom. Freedom of speech is simply one of many freedoms that we should have as a civil society. Because ideas should win on the strength of their arguments, they should not win because they are suppressed."
