@BearsPurgatory @USMNT @usmntonly he has to actually give pepi and zendejas a chance in these friendlies. he’s been reluctant to play pepi and zendejas hasn’t been called up in awhile
English

@xabiballl @USMNT @usmntonly Yeah I get that. But Poch doesn’t strike me as the kinda guy that has his players and doesn’t stray from them. He plays the hot hand. Otherwise Luna and McGlynn would be here and Gio and Zendejas wouldn’t be.
English

@SportsCenter @TaylorTwellman 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 what?!
They won’t even make it out of the group stages
English

@xabiballl He is already gone:
USMNT shat the bed in March
Crocker left
Rumors started that Poch wanted to go back to Europe
Players who were cut WERE notified by email when Poch said they wouldn’t be
Who is running the show? NOT POCH
English

No chance Poch stays unless we make it past R16 and even then he would just use it to get a job in Europe

US Soccer should be breaking the bank to convince and do the same with Pochettino. x.com/CANMNT_Officia…

@xabiballl @USMNTBaldEagle Yes. As in the average American. As in soccer is the fifth out of five major sports.
So yea nigga, “we”
English

The average american is so oblivious to the world of soccer. This sport truly doesn't even cross their minds, it's pretty saddening.
I was talking to an older guy recently and he was holding a World Cup branded Michelob, so I made a light-hearted joke asking if he was excited for it.
He goes "oh have you been watching any of those games" thinking the world cup was already underway.
Don't even get me started on trying to explain to people how a USMNT player can play in the MLS, EPL, etc. but also represent the USA in the world cup. Apparently this is too complex for their brains.
TLDR: The USMNT has so much work to do to win over the average american
English

@USMNTBaldEagle We just don’t like soccer here bro.
As we become more third world demographically that will change prolly
English

@realGyro @USMNTBaldEagle yeah facts I never liked it growing up cuz I was ignorant to it. my friends will say “there’s too many leagues to keep track of” just typical American shit cuz our league isn’t the best for once lol
English

Bro I literally hated soccer like the typical American back in the day. I had every insult for it in the book.
I played FIFA and learned the game and now it’s probably the game I feel the most passionate about
So I’m kinda the blueprint. I try to get people into it but it’s very hard to do. That’s why it’s annoying when I see people say shit like “soccer is already big in the US they just don’t like mediocrity”
To me, it’s just a lazy argument
English

@realGyro @USMNTBaldEagle so true FIFA and the world cup is what got me into the game. grew up on baseball and basketball
English

@xabiballl @USMNTBaldEagle 10 years ago when FIFA was at its max popularity for sure. It won a lot of new fans of the game.
Funnily enough FIFA got like 10x worse and now any kind of movement that was there is now gone because those games are actual poop
English

@Ajay_1410 @USMNT @usmntonly you’re talking to a reyna fan he’s my first off the bench if he doesn’t start
English

@xabiballl @USMNT @usmntonly Reyna performed as well. I’m just saying the classic quote within the usmnt is still standing strong.
“Everyone better than Reyna until it’s time to be better than Reyna.”
English

@usmntonly I pray he shows up I can’t handle the slander he’ll get if he doesn’t
English

@Knucklereborn @Owen16104973 @USMNT @usmntonly I would’ve loved to try some more options but poch seems pretty set in his ways. I wanted to see pepi and balo together
English

@joel73517683 the past few times Poch brought on Haji ahead of Pepi. I would’ve liked to have seen Pepi play with Balo at some point
English

@xabiballl I have a feeling they’ll both get their shot. Balogun ain’t doing 3 90’s, and Zendejas is a good sub option for energy
English

@Owen16104973 @USMNT @usmntonly idk if he really fits the way Poch wants to play. slightly less end product than our other options as well
English

@joel73517683 i’d love to incorporate Zendejas and Pepi more but Poch seems disinterested in them
English

@xabiballl @Stevinho21 @CaryNelson20 @USMNT @usmntonly I think Aaronson offers more goin forward than people realize, just not as much as Reyna. Let BA press and do the dirty work for 60-70min hen either Bring in Zendejas to continue if we have the lead, or Reyna if we need a goal.
I get your point on Roldan…😞
English

@Ronvstypos @USMNT @usmntonly definitely could swap Tillman depending on the matchup. Trusty vs McKenzie was my biggest toss up. Went with the slightly more experienced
English

@xabiballl @USMNT @usmntonly Personally, I'd lean towards starting Reyna or Aaronson depending on the match (Tillman starting is fine). I would also lean towards starting Trusty. Pulisic needs to play a role similar to that of Salah and Ferran Torres, where he plays as a wide forward, hence the formation.
