久々に箱タン起動してみたらスコアタランキング2位から3位に下がってた。 !?おいおい、まさかこっそり凄腕のスコアラーが現れたのか?と確認してみたらナニコレ。 リプレイも再生出来ない模様。不具合かチートか……?なんにせよあまり気分良いものではない。期待した分ちょっとガッカリだな。

VOOT 5.66 netplay working on PC using Xenia emulator between Finland and New York. General emulation is good, but online latency is higher than on consoles (I'm curious why). Could end up being a nice way to play as XBLA ver. is feature-rich (replays, colors etc.) #VOOT #オラタン

Latency & stability issues might be mitigated by using a VPN (even when not using System Link) to have network routes between players without relying so much on the emulator's implementation. I'll try to test options for this.

Netplay builds of Xenia are very much a work in progress, so support for Xbox Live Party Lobby (which has live spectating + multiple matches in same lobby) might be added later along with latency issues being fixed over time.

I might prefer the newer Sanwa twin stick build used at HEY & the Tanita sticks (JLV2-GF2-FO) by a little bit. Maybe I'll get into that with a DIY controller some years down the line.

Ended up buying an unused Twin Stick EX. Expensive but afaik should last a long time. I'll be sure to practice on this before my next japan trip whenever that is.. Getting used to the controller in arcade environment is neat but would save a lot of time to just focus on matches.

Played some VOOT at HEY. Maybe it's a good time to really get used to twin-sticks.. It's nice that the cabinets seem to be at a central location & near EXVS on the third floor. Every time I looked someone was playing, that's fun.

For replays of the game there's an awkward amount of opening boxes around the map (100% completion is required to unlock endgame content!), but just the right amount to please a large amount of players for a one-off playthrough.

Post-game levels allowing (broken) maxed out loadouts instead of being VR missions the seem to have initially been. Nothing is tuned for a maxed out player on any difficuty. This could totally be fixed with DLC/updates like more VR missions, got my hopes up.

Thought it's great but also that there's lost potential (they could have REALLY cooked) due to capcom not trusting the player & sticking to AAA sensibilities. Constant voice hints, low enemy aggression & differences on hard mode that cant be accessed for first playthrough, cont.

Anyway! Game is really good, the way hacking and TPS gameplay start to merge together after the first few fights is great. Enviromentals are great too. Combat options feel open without constantly forcing you to do the typical "dodge the orange move". Highly recommended!

シュタインボックの光速近接カウンター、からのダッ近コンボ集。 近接来そうだな、と感じたらとりあえず「歩きLW⇒RW」の操作を仕込んで、カウンターが成功していたらヒット確認からコンボに移行する。もし近接が来なくても立ちRWが1発出るだけなので仕込み得…という仕組み。#バーチャロン #オラタン

Pragmata is pretty fun. Feel like it's lacking a mode to really mix up enemy behavior ike godhard in vanquish. Maybe low% hard mode runs would scratch that itch partly. Wish you didn't have to do item hunting for mods etc every run & full NG+ equipment would be too strong.
