Iwata was a legend. A game dev at heart, put in the spot of a business man, and ran that business with integrity. Fun fact, most games I shipped at Nintendo had their “Iwata day” where, as a milestone he would play it and sign off. Was a big deal to pass that milestone. o7

The great Satoru Iwata, president of Nintendo, passed away 11 years ago today. He was just 55 years old when we lost him. Iwata’s leadership of Nintendo and our industry will never be forgotten. I miss him every day.

Received news tonight. My grandfather lost to kidney cancer. Fought like hell for years. Will forever be grateful that i got to spend time with him through the good and bad days and being able to be his caregiver.
