@bitchicalist @ZukosWorld I researched the law & the various orgs. offering services, we also joined a support group as well. I feel pretty confident we have Xander on track to be an amazing Psychiatric Service Dog. A reminder: please remember & teach your children in public - never pet a Service Dog!

You have issues with the way society deals with service animals, I get it, don’t take it out on a kind man who’s chosen to navigate that differently than you. It appears that some perhaps business owners don't really like the ADA of 1990 with regard to the rights of Service Animals to freely enter their premises. Please do feel free to chime into this thread so I can mark you off the places I will do business with! #ServiceDogs

Now, we didn't want our little Xavi to feel left out when Xander gets to vest up, but you can not legally have 2 registered service animals. So we registered Xavier as a "Therapy Dog". Therapy Dogs have no legal standing, but are allowed into institutions to make people smile.

For Xmas, we registered Xander as a Service Dog. Under the ADA he he now has full standing. He can go anywhere I can, under Federal law we can not be separated. He flies for free & in cabin on all domestic flights, & can never be denied housing. I've always wanted to do this!
