@xanders617

I'm trying to figure out how to make those green and yellow rings from The Magician's Nephew. Check out my novel on my website.

The minimum weight for all drivers is 82 kg (including: helmet, hans, race suit, and shoes). Therefore, 11.5 kg of ballast must be used in Hadjar's car and 2 kg of ballast in Max's car. This keeps it fair for taller/bigger drivers.

The Red Bull is 20 kg heavier compared to the Alpine and 19 kg heavier compared to the McLaren. The Red Bull currently weighs 798.5 kg (Excluding fuel) (minimum driver weight 82 kg) This explains the high deg and lack of pace (Spotted by @MaxleclercVerst))

@MV33Racing To be fair, Mercedes didn't do amazing with the last set of regs. There was never a guarantee they would this time.

A reminder Max Verstappen said NO to a $150 million per year Mercedes offer plus an ambassador role for 2026. Instead, Max stayed loyal to Red Bull. He accepted the risk of the new RBPT/Ford engine, fully aware Mercedes could build the best car/engine package. That’s the difference. Some drivers abandon their team for more money and to chase the fastest car. Max choose to stay loyal.

🚨🇨🇦 Wild exchange in Canada’s gun debate REPORTER: “If someone enters a home unarmed, the homeowner thinks they might be armed and shoots them… would that be reasonable?” MP @LarryBrockMP: “I reject the premise of that question. A lot of people conceal weapons when they enter a home.” The real question Canadians are asking: Do homeowners have the right to defend themselves if someone breaks into their home? #cdnpoli #SelfDefense #Crime #Canada #publicsafety

why I’ve learned curing a truly Shire-grown, genuine Longbottom Leaf tin is so darn difficult: because there is no simple leap from pipe-weed plant to perfect smoke. there are a whole lot of steps in between, and each one is a potential choke point requiring specialized skill, soil, barns, blenders, and scale that the Shire has largely lost through ruffian invasions, Sharkey’s mills, the scattering of families, and the fading of old growing ways. it’s incredibly hard to centralize into one efficient hobbit pipeline. Instead, leaf often gets shipped to Michel Delving or Tuckborough between steps, or sold raw to Men of the East, which wrecks both quality and traceability. all the steps from Southfarthing seed to perfect tin: 1. pipe-weed grown on proper Shire farms (heirloom strains from the Mathom-rich Southfarthing; fields are smaller now, many turned to Sharkey’s factories or poorer stock after the troubles) 2. planting and tending (careful soil prep, weeding by hand, guarding from crows, rabbits, and worse—ruffians used to trample whole patches) 3. harvesting at peak ripeness (timing by moon and weather-lore; too early and it’s harsh, too late and the flavor fades—needs experienced hands who know the old signs) 4. initial drying in the field or open sheds (air-curing to set the sugars without rot; weather-dependent and labor-heavy) 5. curing and fermenting in special barns (the heart of it: slow, controlled sweat in dark, ventilated barns for months—biggest bottleneck, since most old barns were burned or repurposed by Sharkey’s men) 6. aging in oak casks or sealed jars (to mellow and deepen; requires cool cellars and patience—few cellars left untouched) 7. sorting and grading the cured leaf (manual picking out stems, moldy bits, and lesser grades; separating by strength, aroma, and cut) 8. blending the secret varieties (master blenders mixing Longbottom with Old Toby, Southern Star, etc.—a dying art held by only a handful of families now) 9. cutting or rubbing to final texture (for pipe-ready flake, ribbon, or plug—needs precise tools and know-how) 10. packaging in proper labeled pouches or tins (sealing, stamping with the grower’s mark, inspection, and quality control to ensure no off-flavor sneaks in) one weak link, one barn lost to fire, one master blender sailed off to the Havens, and the whole batch can spoil or take too long to keep any hobbit economically viable. that’s why real Longbottom Leaf is rare and dear these days. Not because no one wants a good pipe after second breakfast, but because the hobbit infrastructure to make it at proper scale barely exists anymore. meanwhile in the East: they buy our raw Southfarthing leaf by the barrel from shady traders, then run the entire process in giant vertical slave-plantations and drying halls around Rhûn and Khand (vast sheds the size of small towns, churning out millions of cheap “Eastern weed” pouches a year for their armies and markets). Everything clustered within a few leagues, day and night, with forced labor and dark overseers that make it plentiful and dirt-cheap.
