@kat__writes he's a nice guy and treats Allie right, even though they had problems in the sex department. It's hard to drop out of relationships that ARE good, stable, and safe. However, I noticed that Sean in the adaptation has markers of 'nice manipulator' and maybe in s2 it will show off

My one true critique of #OffCampus was the Sean character. No offense to the actor, but I couldn’t even wrap my mind around why or how Allie would be with this person to begin with, let alone for 2 years. Beyond her realizing she wants different things — he is just overall such a dud? An absolute wet blanket. Their scenes were painful. They felt like strangers. I know we’re not meant to root for them, but it was egregiously awkward and mismatched. Felt like a misstep.
