Just met a cute girl at the wedding i'm at. like actually cute. genuinely attractive human being. we're talking. vibes are good. she's laughing at my jokes. i'm being charming. then crypto gets brought up, she says it "i use solana" my ears PERKED up i played it cool. i said "oh nice, what protocols are you on" she said "i have some SOL on Kraken" and that's where a normal person would have said "wow that's really cool" and gotten her number but i am not a normal person my brain immediately went into autopilot and i said "on Kraken? do you at least self-custody?" she looked confused i kept going "do you have a wallet? do you stake? what's your DeFi allocation. are you actually onchain or are you just sitting on a CEX watching candles" she said "i bought SOL and i check the price sometimes" and i said "so you don't actually use solana" the vibe was GONE her friend pulled her away. she didn't look back. i was standing there alone at a wedding holding a drink i wasn't even sipping doing MENTAL MATH on whether someone who's never left a CEX can even call themselves a solana user my friend walked over and said "bro she was into you what happened" i said "she holds SOL on a CEX" he said "so?" SO??? i would rather DIE alone than let a CEX-only price-checker who's never opened Phantom think we're in the same ecosystem she had a pretty face but a DISGUSTING onchain history because there IS no onchain history and i simply cannot overlook that could've had her number but she knows i'm running DeFi positions across Drift and Kamino at 3am while she's asleep and honestly that's worth more solana

Ethereum is really not looking good now I know it's impolite to gloat and all that, but I think shitcoins like ETH, that are centralized & premined, have PoS instead of PoW, switch supply schedule at will, are harmful and deserve all the mockery they get x.com/VitalikButerin…

@coinfessions and you wonder why boomers pay for financial advisors. they skim the fuck off the top with fees but at least they can follow basic instructions for trade execution.

My dad gave me £10K to invest into bitcoin for him, it went down a bit as I am a novice and invested at the wrong time, to about £7K. Then I took out chunks of £2K to trade in meme coins, ended up losing everything! Haven’t told him yet, if it was still invested and I didn’t touch it, it would be about £20K now.

@safe Bybit Hot wallet, Warm wallet and all other cold wallets are fine. The only cold wallet that was hacked was ETH cold wallet. ALL withdraws are NORMAL.

Bybit ETH multisig cold wallet just made a transfer to our warm wallet about 1 hr ago. It appears that this specific transaction was musked, all the signers saw the musked UI which showed the correct address and the URL was from @safe . However the signing message was to change the smart contract logic of our ETH cold wallet. This resulted Hacker took control of the specific ETH cold wallet we signed and transfered all ETH in the cold wallet to this unidentified address. Please rest assured that all other cold wallets are secure. All withdraws are NORMAL. None of the grants have ever worked out because you can’t buy PMF. The grant reciever wants deliverables that are concrete but unrelated to PMF, because PMF is f’ing hard. So converting the deliverables into users is on the grant writer, and it’s just impossible, because PMF is f’ing hard. Basically everyone under the sun will write a grant $5/retained monthly active user. No one can deliver on it though because if you can really retain users at a $5 cac in crypto, you don’t need a grant. Go launch your own thing.

@CAD6119 @toly It’s a central location for the orders that matches bids/asks in price/time priority, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the orderbook itself is centralized in custody

@toly Feel like we should just call them LOBs if they are used in defi. Or DLOBs

Clobs should have a mode for MMs that automatically re-lists the asset on a user defined curve after it’s matched.
