@xcgert @ManaByte But let’s assume you want to do the more complicated route of tracking it from horizon to horizon Good news I’m happy to help you or anyone else do that once you have the gear to do so It’s a fun experience all should do & I’m more than willing to walk you through the process.

If you think the Earth is flat, what do the letters in GPS stand for?

@xcgert @ManaByte A lunar transit isn’t complicated. Set up a camera with a high frame rate ready and stable a minute before the transit (websites exist to tell you when it’ll occur for your location). All you have to do is turn on and start filming shortly before.

@xcgert @ManaByte So you're suggesting that the software that calculates position on the Earth from GPS balloons is secretly using flat earth coordinates and not global earth coordinates? I mean, you must be. My GPS works great. So if the Earth is flat the coordinates are not as advertised.

@xcgert @GameSetVolley @eess_ @ManaByte ‘I’m not sure what to believe’ ON THE INTERNET He posts. ‘How does this thing take my letters and recreate them on this screen and people respond that say I’m an idiot?’ I’m not sure what to believe.

@RyanLeffers @ManaByte No, mathematics does not "say" or "dictate" such things. Wrong category of knowledge! And math always works, not just for a big ball Earth.

@xcgert @ManaByte Math says that they are in orbit around (oblate spheroid) Earth. Math also dictates where they will be so you can point an antenna to them and communicate. Math works for a big ball Earth.

@Gman512 I've studied some science. I seek the truth. I don't feel superior to others, in general. Your meme strikes me as unintelligent and insulting. Pseudoscience is real. Discernment matters.

@xcgert @ManaByte It depends on knowing the exact position of every satellite, over the same piece of land without moving. Something balloons can’t do.

@xcgert @ManaByte No it would expand and then burst. Your balloon theory is ridiculous

@xcgert @ManaByte Because it makes no sense at all if you understand how GPS works.
