What's so interesting and strange about this new risk averse Hollywood is how the "sure -bet" has become what was previously the riskiest, that alternatively the cheapest movies to make, the mid budget and the B movie have almost all but disappeared. Im still lost on the logic

@xenocryptsite You raise some interesting points, but I don't think the macro statistics can capture the trend. Maybe "widespread" doesn't mean it exists everywhere across the job market. Tons of people can be absorbed by low-paid and precarious work, doesn't mean jobsites are fully staffed.
1/ As I reported my book, I noticed something that has completely changed American life: widespread chronic under-staffing. It leads to, among other things, deadly medication errors at pharmacies, flight delays, messy stores, and the crime wave. From me today @TheProspect
