@xenosavvy

I don't flirt. I don't sugarcoat. I just drop truths that get ratios. Deal with it.

Whenever I visited my ex, he would give me money to go get foodstuffs alone, I would cook, clean, and serve while he played game. And whenever I complain of him not assisting me, he would say he has played his part by providing money. The rest are my duties. So I waited till it was his time to visit me, I made sure there was no food at my house. Just water. He asked what I cooked, and I requested money so I could go get foodstuffs. He told me I was the host, and I ought to be the one to provide the food. Immediately, I opened my purse and gave him cash to go buy foodstuffs he would cook for us since that was how he treated me too. He was confused. He thought it was a joke. I stood my ground. That night, we both slept hungry. He went back the following day and never called me again, till date.

Whose job is it to provide resources? He provided the resources necessary to make the food. I donโ€™t agree with leaving the entirety of the cooking to her all the time but as long as he came to visit her, the cooking 100% is her duty. The better way to have tackled this is to communicate. It would have been better if she had done that in his house. A man and a woman are not equals, but that doesnโ€™t mean he should treat her as a slave. He should have assisted once in a while, but maybe he did, who knows?

Two frames that define the dynamic of each relationship. Above, Tommy controls the gesture with Grace; he is her anchor, provider, and protector. Below, Lizzie holds Tommy's face; she is his caretaker, his emotional anchor, and the one keeping him from falling apart.

@Miss_Oluremi It is your type that wonโ€™t let your partner have a say, giving your partner money to go get food is very disrespectful jsyk, no matter what he has done he does not deserve that kind of treatment from you.

@Miss_Oluremi You did that? Iโ€™m proud of you fr, you have to give these men a taste of their medicine. But if you had loved him enough, you wonโ€™t watch your man go hungry to bed.

@DuhItsKryssi You are just approaching life from the "how can I make this other awesome persons' life better?" instead of "what can I get from them". It's refreshing and the takers can't handle the idea of focusing on giving instead of taking and wonder why they are miserable. Cheers.
