È colei che ha partecipato al formato Normandia nel 2014 non per proteggere la sovranità dell’Ucraina, minacciata dall’annessione della Crimea e dalla prima invasione del Donbas, ma per essere certa che quegli scontri non ostacolassero gli affari tra Germania e Russia (che infatti proseguirono indisturbati). Ma l’aggressività è solo la maschera della paura. La Russia non regge più il peso della guerra. L’esercito è sfinito, le perdite sono enormi (si stimano oltre 350mila morti), l’opinione pubblica è stanca e arrabbiata, le élite per la prima volta osano sussurrare una parola finora proibita: golpe. La “guerra lampo” che doveva durare tre giorni va avanti da quattro anni. E mentre in Italia c’è ancora chi racconta che l’Ucraina abbia perso dal primo giorno, Mosca controlla appena il 20% del territorio ucraino. Per Putin, questa guerra è diventata un marchio di debolezza. Forse chi sosteneva che l’Ucraina andava sostenuta con le armi non aveva tutti i torti…
