This is a component I find myself needing in every project. The "Are you sure about that" button.

@heyhey is there a plan about allowing multiple domains for the same account? I want to have the same inbox for both, but now I have to host my other email address elsewhere

Google Maps changed its URL from "https://maps [dot] google [dot] com" to "https://google [dot] com/maps". Looks like it's not a big deal, but when you grant the location permission in your browser you now grant it to the whole #google [dot] com domain. 🤨 #privacy #googlemaps

One single propaganda billboard costs the Hungarian taxpayers as much as the monthly salary of a Hungarian school teacher. Speaking about priorities.

Mildly annoyed that web search autocompletes “jeff” to “jeff bezos” and not “jefferson airplane”

One reason I withdrew a bit from the JavaScript Community® and chose to reinvest in Rails was that front-end frameworks and tooling became dominated by megacorps whose DevRel people convinced everyone that EVERY team should adopt solutions designed for Google or Facebook scale.

@waitbutwhy They don't do that as much anymore. Pointing to the other party, shouting it's evil and pretending to be the only savior from that seems sufficient these days.

@attilagyorffy Too late, they're already learning Rails! I was thinking of supervising them to avoid falling into the trap of making too much metaprogramming, but I guess they have to make their own mistakes...

Just overheard kids arguing about how to name their pirate ship and which port should be her home. I think it's time to have The Talk with them about opinionated frameworks.

@LevelbossMike To me, it always felt like customers are an annoyance and a distant second to making stuff for development's sake for a fairly large portion of mainstream JS communities

Am I missing something, or is the Turbopack vs. Vite drama really a discussion about the validity of the claim of HMR taking 0.01s with turbo vs. 0.09s with Vite? Is anybody going to notice the difference either way? Shouldn't devs focus on producing value for their(!) customers?
