@ElStachioo Gaddafi pushed for a gold backed african currency and Saddam traded oil in euros. Both were ousted soon after. The pattern is real but the naira just crashed by 70%. Fix the currency before challenging the dollar's dominance.

Nigeria CANNOT be allowed to develop. Why? Because then we start selling oil in Naira, and if we do, the Naira will emerge as the world’s currency or at least in Africa. This would bring about a big shift, potentially boosting Naira's regional influence.

@justicechilling @ChegeVic_254 @kagondu_yvonne Yeah. We let it slide for too long and now everyone is paying the price. Men are bitter, while women are guarded. We need real mentorship rather than cash transfers. Our brains might still be developing, but our empathy doesn't have to wait. Let’s embrace the growing pains.

As young boys their age need mentorship and get mny, girls their age want love. We're barely developed as a nation, you think our frontal cortex is that developed either?

As I grow older, there is a sympathy that I am developing for younger women. Especially those who are yet to develop their prefrontal cortex. In philosophy we learnt that biologically, women and men think differently at different stages of their lives. For example, a man in his 20's will be thinking about money, while a woman in her 20's will be thinking about men. If you want proof, go to their circles and listen to what they talk about. There's nothing wrong with that, its biology. Because in that age, a woman is her most fertile and biologically she is seeking her suitable mate. Even if she mentally and verbally says she is childfree. Once you pass this stage, you start thinking differently and realize how many of your decisions were influenced by this biological mindset. So what I believe in is kindness. Be kind to older women, be kind to younger women, because there might be a conflict of mindsets. But for me I choose to avoid both of these groups. Because I don't like any form of conflict. Don't call me biased, I am an introvert, I avoid everyone I can.

@ChegeVic_254 @kagondu_yvonne The focus here is on the accountability of older men, not how self-reliant younger men are. Don't conflate these two issues. I agree that it's a failure when older men don't use their mentorship positions for anything other than genuine mentorship, is completely unacceptable.

@xfade_54 @kagondu_yvonne I'm judging them differently because they're busy chasing skirts and extending opportunities to those girls instead of mentoring young men who in turn are falling behind. We're human beings with common sense, blaming biology is nonsensical.

We all make mistakes. I made the very big mistake of thinking South Africa's BIGGEST problem is illegal immigration. It's not. Yes, it is an issue. We have unsustainable amounts of people who are in our country ILLEGALLY, and when they engage in crime they're of course untracable(mostly). But our biggest problems lie with matters created by locals and foreign forces, by the true puppeteers and the criminal underworld. Everything circles back to the reality that we are a MAFIA STATE that evil forces have spent millions to move us closer to total anarchy. Maybe if we ask ourselves WHY, the most likely answer would be MINERALS.

@Osama_otero Late 90s independence? That’s 30 more years of being looted and losing land. Independence back then would've just landed us in the IMF's pocket with zero backup. And leaders were products of that same colonial system anyway. The problem is that accountability never showed up.

I have been saying that @SafaricomPLC should add the feature of blocking someone from sending Mpesa to you. You can reject a man, block his texts, block your calls, but he will still be sending money to you. If a woman rejects you, stop investing in her, it's that simple. Because if I have blocked you everywhere, and you decide to send me money. I will not waste my brain energy to call you to ask you to reverse or copy your number to send it back to you. What if I actually want and need the money? Sending money to someone who has rejected you is a form of manipulation. Women have free will and are allowed to say no. The problem is men who won't accept it.

Before Ivy Wangeci was murdered As unfortunate as it was Kinuthia sent her 24k for her birthday... (I could be getting the figures mixed up) A year later. On that fateful day, he had sent her 15k, and was on his way to add an additional amount My question is. Why would you accept such amounts from a person you have no intention of pursuing any romantic relationship with? Knowing very well they harbour feelings for you? I think we can all agree that whatever happened to Ivy was unfortunate. And the perpetrator was brought to book, rightfully so. But remember, the law doesn't prevent crime. The law punishes crime. By the time the law is stepping in. There is already a victim. We don't live in a perfect world. People, even women , respond to heart-ache differently.... There are deviants in the society. There always have been

@KevinButterhof @venom1s 1. Their own exec said the programs don't work. Anticapitalist ? I'm citing Nestlé's own executive. 2. Nestlé traces suppliers for quality and food safety. Intermediaries take the money isn't an excuse it's a reason to fix the supply chain they audit including labor conditions

1. They literally are leading, by having programs aimed at reducing child labor in the production of cocoa beans. You’re just an anticapitalist looking for any reason to shit on any corporation without having to do any sort of deeper analysis. “But child labor!” Yeahs it’s an easy out for you. A cheap point with no deeper understanding of how the world works behind it. 2. They could literally double the price they pay for cocoa beans and it would likely do very little for the farmers who actually pick the beans because the intermediaries would eat up all the extra pay. Also, nestle alone paying double for cocoa beans would do very little to affect what every other company pays for cocoa beans.

KitKat is owned by Nestlé. Nestlé is one of the most unethical companies in the world. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Nestlé wanted to grow its infant formula sales in developing countries, especially in Africa. So they came up with a strategy. They gave free baby formula to new mothers and promoted it as better than mother’s milk. At first, it seemed helpful. But it was not. The free supply lasted just long enough for many mothers to stop producing their own milk. Once it ended, they had no natural option left and had to depend on formula. But many of these mothers were poor. They could not afford to keep buying it. So they tried to stretch it by adding more water and less powder. This led to weak and undernourished babies. It got worse because many of them did not even have clean water or proper conditions to prepare the formula safely. Babies fell sick. Some even died. And Nestlé did not even provide proper instructions. No clear guidance in local languages. No support for mothers who could not read. They knew the risks. They still continued. They only reacted when Western countries protested and boycotted them. Even today, they are not fully ethical. And people still eat KitKat.

@KevinButterhof @venom1s Stop making chocolate? No. Pay farmers enough that they don't need their kids in the fields. And 'it affects every buyer', is a confession that the whole industry is broken. It's systemic and the biggest players with the most leverage need to lead, not shrug and say 'it's hard'.

What's happening in South Africa is a reflection of how African leaders have failed their people The South African leadership has failed to uplift black South Africans from poverty The rest of Africa (majority of it) has also failed it's own people resulting in them being immigrants seeking greener pastures It's not the ordinary people (natives or foreigners) but the leadership that's why there's xenophobia and poverty If the likes of Mandela, Nyerere, Khama, Uhuru etc where to see what has become of Africa, they'd regret ever sacrificing their freedom and lives The new leaders need to do better. Africa is a big mess.
