One other design for the light switch plates. I went for an "aged steampunk" look for these ones.

More oddball light switch plates. This time in a melted copper/gold with some blue accents. They look really interesting and archaeological in real life. A little less impressive in a photo.

Second set of monoprint cards. These were done with the sort of "spare" pulls from my printing plate and a stamp I got at the thrift store. Even less traditionally Christmas, though the colors keep it in the holiday spirit.

Playing with a bit of monoprinting techniques, I created these abstract cards that kind of look (to me) like you used an AI engine to imagine cards from the 1940s.

I bring it up not as defense (at this point I truly do not give AF what folks think about our approach), but just as a heads up for folks curious about how and why shows do things the way they do. It's this intro in one place IN LIEU of countless ad interruptions. [3/3]

Got a comment re: length of intros, and it was in good faith so no sweat but I just want to remind for folks curious: intros contain everything we need to promote to make the show sustainable. Subscription info, event info, socials, etc. [1/3]

Turning mistakes into...art? This was made up of a couple of eye molds that got too cloudy for a puppet I made and a couple experiments in making resin coasters. Put it together in a thrifted, painted box and it's a retro something!

Short test run of abstract Christmas cards. Not sure if it's giving "abstract" or "amateur," but I kind of like the effect. I have a few more designs in the works right now.

Taking a break from the Christmas prep, I made a couple of colorful, tiny textured abstracts. They're glossy and look a bit like encaustic, though it's made with acrylic paint, paper towels, Mod Podge and high gloss varnish. Available on my art site xingcat.bigcartel.com

Two versions of the same idea for cards. I had a large canvas I wanted to use in a new way, so I cut it up into ornament shapes. One minimal on a black background, the other is embellished on top of the cutout with a blue background. Which one (if either) do you like better?

Another new card design. I wanted to do a winter moon look without doing, say, Santa's sleigh flying across. I think this is a nice holiday/winter design that could work the rest of the year, as well.

the liquor store carries 3 chocolate candies/candy bars peanut butter m&ms almond snickers and kinder bueno it is so random, and consistently only those,that i really want to know how it came about. managers favorites? a weird discount pack? ordered that way once & repeated?
