I like how we can understand Rover’s emotions in this situation. He’s the same man who denied Cartethyia’s plea to sacrifice, the same man who pulled Iuno out of chaos. And recently, she lost Aemeath. It’s brief, but there’s a mix of anger and worry in Rover when he questions Lucialla’s actions.

There was this odd mural on a wall in Jinzhou that talked about people suffering under the Lament and and "extinguish...the..lighthouse...". WW's parry is based on timing + connecting your attack hitbox with the enemy's. There is much more benefit to this method than making it a cutscene / grab-like. For one, each character has slightly different timing due to animation differences of their attack.
