This would be one of the biggest college football changes in years.
A 5-year clock.
5 straight seasons.
One free transfer.
Then you sit a year after that.
I get why some people want structure back.
But this would change roster building, player development, and portal strategy across the sport.
Would this help college football or create a new mess?

Sen. Tommy Tuberville has long been involved in college sports legislation in D.C. Today he introduced a new college sports bill that would set eligibility limits at 5 consecutive years to play 5 consecutive seasons. Athletes could transfer once; additional transfers would require sitting out a year.
