On this day in 1959, Coltrane recorded with his quartet at Atlantic Studios. Tracks recorded at this session included 'Naima,' 'Syeeda's Song Flute,' 'Mr. P.C.,' 'Giant Steps' and 'Cousin Mary.' All of these recordings aside from 'Naima' were released on "Giant Steps" in 1960.
