@neil_killick There is always self organizing going on in every organization whether or not it is recognized and supported, whether management behaviour is healthy or toxic. Alas, this is the nature of complex adaptive systems, of which every organization is an example. This is reality.

@xroadstree There is zero self organisation going on in most SAFe shops. And plenty of real life examples of what I'm describing. Plus I'm not criticising SAFe, just pointing out it's for high dependency environments with little chance of/desire to change that. Not a good choice otherwise.

Have you considered that having autonomous, cross-functional teams with e2e ownership of missions (including authority to release to customers) is probably the ultimate strategy for being able to scale up value-creation? 1/
