literally this tweet popped into my head again while meditating this morning and +1 to east coast/west coast cybernetics comp analysis. would love to read too intersections of postcolonial moment, cybernetics and race thru the east coast/west coast lens.

someone should write an essay explaining US West Coast (Bay Area) vs US East Coast (Cambridge, MA) cybernetics. It's sketched in so much work, e.g, by @richardbarbrook, @fturner, @NoraBateson, @HZeavin (on Lily), but I don't think there's a systematic comparative analysis, yet.

reading across disciplines is fun and revealing and the different terms disciplines use to describe similar things is interesting…also i wanna know why more stem-y disciplines love using soft and hard to distinguish things
