Final- Hurricanes 4, Golden Knights 2
Carolina pushes Vegas to the brink. The Cup will be in the building on Sunday. The Golden Knights will try to force a Game 7 back here in Raleigh.
Golden Knights will face an elimination game in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final in Las Vegas.
This team has looked dead in the water many times this season. They've never keeled over. Do not expect them to on Sunday.
Another pretty nifty passing play by the Canes, and they've put 4 behind Carter Hart in 5 consecutive Stanley Cup Final games.
VGK are down 3 with less than 9 to go. Staring their first deficit in a series since Game 3 of the First Round directly in the face. 4-1 CAR
Incredible goal by the Canes.
VGK are on the ropes. 3-1 CAR
First time they've played poorly in the 2nd period and it's Aho and Svechnikov who hurt them while Howden missed his chance. Hasn't been happening all series long.
Holy shit. This is not great.
VGK have not settled down. Carolina fires one from a wide angle, it goes through, and the Canes have scored 3 in 39 seconds. It's a 1 goal game with 12:18 to go.
Simple passing play and for the first time in his NHL career, Carter Hart has allowed an OT goal.
Little slow to see the pass across and Seth Jarvis hammered one home.
Series is tied. Crazy game.
VGK starting to succumb to the forecheck pressure a bit more and more. Stankoven does what he does (steals the puck deep in the zone) then gets extremely fortunate with a wrap attempt that went off Lauzon.
2-1 and the Lenovo Center is alive for the first time tonight.
VGK turn one over high in the zone and Miller was able to get it to Staal who may have fooled Hart.
We're tied in what has turned into a wild game. 3-3
Unfortunate hop off the ref gave Killorn a pretty good look in right. Looked like he fooled Hart with a quick release. Tough break for the VGK PK who have allowed a pair tonight.
3 takeaways from the game, presented by @dotvegasinc
1) The team that trailed the 2nd most minutes in the NHL this season, has continued doing it through three games. It’s not the recipe for success, it just isn’t, and now they are behind in a series.
2) One of the things VGK could lean on for the first two games was that Keller, Schmaltz, and Crouse were also not doing much. That ended and it wasn’t a close game
3) Eventually, someone has to grab their nuts (or whatever Chandler Stephenson said) and put the puck in the damn net. Sure, the goalies are good, the defense is good, but someone has to do it. Otherwise this season has 2 games left in it.

Before the series, the Mammoth claimed they knew where Hart's weak spots were. In the first two games they never really had a chance to get looks to pick them out. They have tonight and the answer is (unsurprisingly because it's the case for most goalies) up around his ears.
4-0 UTA
VGK lose it in shootout but have absolutely nothing to hang their heads about tonight. What an effort, what a game.
Honestly believe that's the best game VGK have played this season, considering the circumstances.
My goodness. Another one off VGK and into the goal.
They've played an incredibly good 30 minutes and the game is now tied due to two horribly unlucky bounced.
2-2
