The resolution appears to rely on interpretation rather than the written criteria, and the addition of extra context after the event had already occurred is also unusual. Given that the rules state: "Flashback scenes showing a character alive before their death, as well as dream sequences, hallucinations, or visions of dead characters, will not affect resolution." We clearly saw Eleven die on screen. The decision to make viewers believe she might still be alive through Mike’s dream sequence does not constitute proof that she survived. Even if this does not qualify as a “YES”, which is already problematic considering we literally witnessed her death on screen, the rules also state that "if a character’s fate is deliberately left ambiguous, it will not qualify toward the resolution of this market." This, in turn, implies that no resolution should result in a 50/50 outcome, since a definitive 100% “NO” would itself constitute a resolution of the market. What is the purpose of having clearly defined market rules if outcomes can ultimately depend on UMA voter decisions rather than a strict application of those rules? I hope you can clarify this and help me and other users better understand how this process works. Respectfully.
