DFlow can "improve" the quotes we show by literally tweaking a parameter in our system that adjusts how thin the liquidity we consider when routing is. Even though we would start winning more flow and it would help with "marketing", we don't do this because it's bad for users. The thinner the liquidity we route through, the more likely it is that slippage realizes, even though the quotes look better. If a route is returned to five users but only one can actually execute the route, then it's net bad to return the better quote that doesn't realize for most users. This is another reason why simulation based quote selection can be misleading and shouldn't be relied upon as the only metric for quote selection. DFlow operates at scale, we need to serve users reliably, ensuring that they _actually_ get the best prices when they trade, not just _appear_ to get the best prices when selecting the quotes.
