You have to be a bit crazy to let Claude sort and review every personal file on your computer. Bank statements, personal photos, passwords... My single RTX 5090 was able to sort 20,000 screenshots using Qwen_9b in 2 hours. Privacy maintained. No 5090? Just let it run overnight.

@badlogicgames opus is lazy. It's fine for some front end design, but don't use it for engineering, research or anything that requires "effort". "max" effort is more like "medium" effort, when compared to Codex.

i have real trust issues with opus. it's extremely weird. any time it suggest a thing, i switch to gpt and ask for a second opinion. in +60% of cases, gpt finds additional things opus just missed. (not a gpt shill, love opus, but it's complicated)

@JamesTervit haven't tried the Razer, but if it shows up on Thunderbolt it should be good! it's the same chip as the 5090, the most you should have to change in tinygrad is a PID

@lagz152507 I still support it over at raspberry.ninja , if you want to turn it into a low-latency peer-to-peer video streamer. Python-based. A DIY security camera; record to disk while allowing you to remotely view the situation when shit hits the fan.

I have the original 4gb Jetson Nano left over from a project (years ago), anyone know what I can still use it for? Pretty sure nvidia doesn’t support it anymore

@DoctorLemma I lived at Spadina and Bloor for a while; most the tech jobs I had were on it or just a street over. It's a really wonderful place to be during the summers.

At 20 years old, Keanu Reeves drove his first car from Toronto to Los Angeles to start an acting career. He got out of the car and the first thing his manager said was: “We want to change your name.” They told him Keanu was “too ethnic.” He drove up and down the beach in Santa Monica trying to process it. He considered Chuck Spadina, after the street he grew up on. He tried Templeton. Eventually he took his first and middle initials, Keanu Charles, and started going by K.C. Reeves, which everyone read as Casey. He was credited under that name in a 1986 episode of Disney’s anthology series. It lasted about six months. At auditions, casting directors would call out “Casey Reeves” and he wouldn’t even look up. He just didn’t recognise it as himself. He went back to his agents and told them he couldn’t do it. The whole time, a line from one of the first plays he ever performed kept running through his head. He’d played John Proctor in The Crucible, and the line was: “Because it is my name. Because I can have no other.” He booked Bill and Ted, Point Break, Speed, The Matrix, and John Wick as Keanu.

I made Claude Code and Codex talk to each other. No APIs. No special protocol. Just a terminal. smux lets agents create, read, and act on terminals. the terminal becomes a shared interface. this enables agent-to-agent communication. Now Claude Code and Codex can hold hands 🤝 Try it now ↓

I recall studying PCR in my genetics courses in my school days. We were taught how to make vaccinations, custom plasmids, and all sorts of fun genetic engineering methods. Back then tho, it all needed a fancy lab. Now you just ask Grok, then mail out some samples to wherever.

AI engineered custom bio injections seem to be gaining traction. Map out your DNA, ask AI to make a custom sequence, print it out into mRNA with PCR, shock it into a vector, and then staby staby. Maybe I should learn to do it myself. Might come in handy one day.

I bought my first Mac just so I could relay messages between iMessage and Slack. I wrote a Python script to do it, by hand. github.com/steveseguin/iM… I totally get why people are dropping cash on a Mac Mini to run an AI agent on it, rather than on a $5 VPS.
