My thesis was totally wrong!!Market clearly in uptrend for 4hr chart…no chop. Yes, I got out with profit but this is a fail. ❌

$SPX 0DTE Trade Log - 13APR 1/1 trades won 6845/6855 Call Credit Spread (Short STOPPED, Long PROFIT) $1.10 PROFIT ✅ Bias = chop 🪓 Well, this one was weird. 😵‍💫 My thesis was that we'd chop around for the remainder of the day, so I got in the call side at a small delta & a small spread. AND... $SPX immediately started to run up. My short stop at 2x premium hit within 5 minutes of placing the trade. Again. Ugh. BUT...the difference here is that I decided to keep the long leg out for at least 15 minutes & set a close order to cover the original trade premium I was shooting for. And, that hit in about 5 more minutes. In & out in less than 10 minutes. 🤷‍♀️ There is no lesson here other than I still don’t know what I’m doing. But I’m really trying the learn… #optionselling #0dte

Bloomberg’s real time spending data (4wk rolling) - Air travel (left) +2.7% (vs +6.4% pre-war) - Hotels (right) -3.1% (vs. +0.3% pre-war) Travel spending starting to slow down 6 wks into the war. Meanwhile, the same data set shows gasoline purchase is +20% (vs +1% pre-war)

TRADE PLAN - week of 13APR 📈 EXPIRING: - $AMZN 17APR $225 Sold CALL (ITM) - $CRWV 17APR $100 Sold CALL (ITM) - $BMNR 17APR $19.5 Sold CALL (ITM) 📊 OPEN OPTION SELLING: - Sold PUTS: $HOOD - Sold CALLS: $BMNR $AMZN - Sold Put Credit Spreads: $META - Long CALLS/LEAPS: $FIG - Long PUTS: $SPY $INTC - 6.7% of buying power in use 📝 NOTES + PLAN: LAST WEEK’S MOVES: - $AMZN - Rolled sold calls out early in week before the run up. Took profit on remaining shares ✅ - $CRWV - Rolled sold call ✅ - $SPX - 6 trades | 39% win rate. NOT a good week. Kept getting stopped out on intraday orange man tweets. Without taking gains on $AMZN this week would’ve stung 🐝 - $DUOL - Admit defeat & closed for loss. If $DUOL can’t also run in last week’s market, that’s a SIGN. Software is a disaster right now. Will probably run up now that I’ve sold though. 🤷‍♀️ - $SPY & $INTC - long puts purchased. $INTC is quite overbought (RSI = 75) & I think will mean revert - NET LIQ 🔼 4.6% (all due to $AMZN $CRWV and was reduced by my #0DTE option selling losses) Here’s what I’m seeing in the charts I follow + my weekly plan: 🤑 OPTION SELLING: - $SPX / $SPY- Was last week a turnaround or will we head back down? Headline risk is enormous... 🤷‍♀️ - $AMZN - WOW! What a break of range & a nice green candle on the week! Can it last? Daily RSI nearing overbought. I now have two ITM covered calls that I’ll manage or let go if I can no longer roll for profit 👍 - $CRWV - WOW! Another BIG green weekly candle! I thought my $100 short call was safe..I do want to unload my shares but the roll premium was good - so I took it. This stock is like the Chicago weather, if you don’t like what you are seeing just wait a bit & it will undoubtedly change. My assignment/wheel is in good profit now so it’s all gravy from here. ✅ - $BMNR & $FIG - Disasters. My $BMNR short call expiring Friday is ITM as of right now ($19.5). Whatever, take my shares & set me free. 🗑️🔥 - $META - Another BIG green candle on the week & back in the $600s. Can we hold it? I’d like to see $META stay above $640…but not sure we’ll do it on this turn. - $HOOD - Well, it doesn’t seem to be going any lower these days? My positions expire JAN2027 so nothing to do. Could roll one out for more juice, I guess… 🤷‍♀️ 🗒️ WEEK AHEAD PLAN: - $SPX / $SPY - Keep learning. Not sure I want to wade in & trade 0DTE as last week hurt (& thank GOD for risk management) - PRACTICE CAUTION - Volatility - again! ALWAYS SET STOPS / SIZE FOR ZERO / SMALL POSITIONS - SELLING: Close/roll covered calls on $AMZN $CRWV. Sell puts to straddle if we head lower. Milk $BMNR for whatever I can. - WATCHING: $UBER $MSFT for a potential 2027 position (will wait until after earnings); not planning any short term new sold positions (beyond existing straddles) - ETFs: Keep adding on dips $SPYI $QQQI - load the boat if we get another big leg down. Interesting approach. When price runs up on a stock I want to keep (& sell calls on), I either a) close the short immediately when the strike is hit. Or, if I don’t get there in time, b) roll & buy up to the 20MA. Stock usually will mean revert & then I’m not stuck in the whipsaw… But I’m very interested to see how your approach pans out! I am transparent about my wins and losses… Which is why I wanted to share this covered call I rolled so you understand the risks that come with selling options. Additionally, I hope this helps you learn how to think about rolling specific positions and the benefits of this strategy. $NBIS ripped past my $130 strike (sitting around $140+). So I made a move: ➡️ Bought back my $130 calls (5/1) ➡️ Sold $200 calls (12/18) ⸻ 📊 The numbers: • Realized loss: -$13,587 • Premium collected on new calls: $2,323 • Contracts: 7 (700 shares) ⸻ 🧠 What this ACTUALLY means: Yes, I took a loss on paper… But this is NOT a directional loss. This is the cost of: 👉 Keeping my shares 👉 Reopening upside ⸻ Before the roll: • My shares were getting called away at $130 • Stock is already at $140+ • I was about to lose all future upside ⸻ After the roll: • New strike: $200 • Expiration: Dec 18 • I now have $60+ upside per share That’s: 👉 $42,000+ more upside unlocked (700 shares) ⸻ 💡 Why I did this: I’m still bullish on $NBIS Didn’t want to: ❌ Cap my gains at $130 ❌ Lose my core position So I: ✅ Paid to reposition ✅ Gave myself room to run ✅ Still collected premium ⸻ ⚠️ Important lesson: Rolling a covered call for a loss is NORMAL You’re not “losing money” You’re: 👉 Adjusting your position 👉 Paying for more upside 👉 Staying in the trade ⸻ 📈 New setup: •Max sell price: $200 •Time: 8+ months •Premium collected: $2.3K ⸻ Moral of the story: Covered calls are not “set and forget” You have to actively manage them when the stock moves IF you want to keep your shares. This looks like a big loss, but in my eyes it’s not. Reduces my tax burden and assures that my shares don’t get called away at $130. Hope this helps my friends!

I'm not religious in the least. But I'm not entirely devoid of faith. Everytime I drive through South Dakota, I stop at this small church along the highway and walk in. I sit down, reflect, and express gratitude. I then write in the small notebook at the front of the church: "'Thank you Lord for being by me, I'm alive and doing fine.' Matt, Brooklyn, NYC."
