To add to this, the current consensus is that Pokémon Winds & Waves will be a late 2027 release.
The games are already complete content-wise (according to @Mootmonthly) and the delay is mostly for optimization and just waiting for Switch 2 install base to grow a bit.

Pokémon caught in Pokémon Winds & Waves in Brazilian Portuguese won’t be able to be transferred back to previous games that didn’t have this language.
Similarly Pokémon in Latin American Spanish won’t be able to be transferred back to previous games without this language.

For now Pokémon Champions will only be compatible with fully evolved Pokémon.
Developers have confirmed that non fully evolved Pokémon like Porygon2 and Clefairy won’t exist in the game, but could be added in the future.

@PengyTwitch @VanessaVeeNessa Weather Ball helps against Metagross. In ZA it gets Ancient Power for Charizard. Also Earth Power for Gengar if bulky enough to survive a poison move. MegaMence seems too bulky for DazzlingGleam, but Mega Meganium is bulky too, idk who wins.

@VanessaVeeNessa It is exciting! I like Meganium a lot and I think the new ability is very cool! But I'm also realistic. Unless it gets a really big upgrade to its move pool like Growth and/or Moonblast it is not going to be good. If it gets new moves I'll happily reevaluate

@JacobSkraw It's usable as I'm sure many other za megas will be. Could be fun on rain. That being said I'm willing to bet no ZA mega will be worth considering over the big 5 in any serious team.
