Post window thoughts: Done enough to probably finish in the top four again but didn't put a stamp on the squad like I thought we would. When you look at the players we were linked to missed out on, like Simons, Fermin, Kudus, Ekitike, Maignan, and the fact we did not bring in a proven CB (even someone like a Guehi) it feels underwhelming. It feels like every window under this ownership, it's always about looking forward to next season rather than the current one, as there are players you look forward to as a fan (quenda, paez, penders) Do I think we'll have a bad season? No. Do I think we have a 'good' squad? Yes. But Do I think we've capped our ceiling? Absolutely. Would you swap our window with Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, City? The striker position is so uncertain, as are the left wingers,CB'S and GK. I believe we could have challenged for the title this year with a mix of proven signings as I feel the league is fairly open, but it's another year of uncertainties with who we have signed, another window of 'placing bets' on players. That's just how I honestly feel. Love the club but yet again, I feel we could have done a lot better, especially with the world champions tag.
