@JohnWaveri23954 @kurt_cocain3 @cutesy_kuromiii martin luther king is literally a great example of someone highly educated who used ebonics 😭 you seem very mistaken on what ebonics even is.
English

@yahkore @kurt_cocain3 @cutesy_kuromiii No tf it’s not. I hate when people use “the south” NIGGA DO YIY NOT HEAR HOW PROPER MARTIN LUTHER KING SOUNDED? Malcom X? Why are yall acting like im making sht up? This generation was obsessed with hood rappers, idolized them, and started talking like them lol I watched it
English

@JohnWaveri23954 @kurt_cocain3 @cutesy_kuromiii african ethnic groups. for example, SC was heavily influenced by angola/congo ethnic groups earlier, then nigeria. Aave most likely originated as a creole lang that differed a lot from region to region and today although ties been decreolized, it still has its regional variations
English

@JohnWaveri23954 @kurt_cocain3 @cutesy_kuromiii black americans of all different financial backgrounds and education levels do and can speak using ebonics. most of us can code switch in the same way a bilingual person would. it’s also regional because different areas in the british colonies had influence from diff+
English

@JohnWaveri23954 @kurt_cocain3 @cutesy_kuromiii people immigrating their fav rappers doesn’t automatically negate the fact that ebonics is a legitimate language or dialect that has been developing for over 400 years. just because racist call it improper doesn’t make it improper. it’s just not general american english.
English

@JohnWaveri23954 @kurt_cocain3 @cutesy_kuromiii the habitual be is literally a unique aspect of AAVE bruh😭
English

@yahkore @kurt_cocain3 @cutesy_kuromiii “They be doing too much, no cause why they hating frl?” We all know how to talk like it, but this sht is starting to affect texting and writing skills I’m not gonna lie. I think talking like that online all day is damaging especially if you have children.
English

@kurt_cocain3 @cutesy_kuromiii Lmao it’s true 🤷🏾♂️ our grandparents was raised to speak proper as sht, even our parents sound better, but because they say “aave” now all of a sudden “oh it’s not that he dropped out in 8th grade, he’s just using aave” the most pathetic black ppl are the “culture” ones lol
English

@masaosx @nlibrarymouse @okaybhaiya @foxxyscleo That’s fair enough, i understand ur point but that would technically mean u were being racist unprovoked to me yk? I respect South Asians so I will not say sth racist but if I was uneducated and then be racist back n the cycle would continue u see?
English

@streamctrlalbum @staycgeneration @SeekingSza @fvgaroni @datsdatthiq @aavenb @hisfavpiscessb this also explains some of energy mistakes this acc made 😭
English

@intakbestboi @yahkore @streamctrlalbum @staycgeneration @fvgaroni @datsdatthiq @aavenb @hisfavpiscessb There isn’t rlly a PROBLEM. It’s just funny how the accounts entire purpose is dragging non AAs for using AAVE when they aren’t even AA
English

@intakbestboi @streamctrlalbum @staycgeneration @SeekingSza @fvgaroni @datsdatthiq @aavenb @hisfavpiscessb btw despite this i still very much consider myself as someone apart of the african diaspora with african roots ^^ i’m not an FBA even tho the term itself isn’t inherently bad it’s been hijacked by a buch or xenophobes who hate acknowledging any ties to africa
English

@intakbestboi @streamctrlalbum @staycgeneration @SeekingSza @fvgaroni @datsdatthiq @aavenb @hisfavpiscessb i also feel connected to continental african cultures, caribbean and other afro-latam cultures or traditions as well. but i’m not continental african and can’t trace any recent roots (as far as i’m aware, still working on my family tree)
