#CityPowerUpdates #InnerCitySDC Update on Central Substation Repair We are pleased to report that the repair work on the damaged electrical apparatus at the Central Substation, which was caused by a fire incident, is progressing well. We have since restored 76% of the power supply for customers in Marshalltown, Marshalltown Extension 1, Selby, Salisbury Claims, Wemmer, and the surrounding areas. Comprehensive testing is now underway, and we are hopeful that additional distributors will be reinstated today if the tests yield positive results. We remain on track to achieve full power restoration by Saturday, 22 March 2025.^RM

The unplanned power disruption is affecting customers in Alexandra from 11th Avenue to 20th Avenue. With the 55% of the power supply restored, the remaining seven load centres will be off until repairs are done. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience. Note: To avoid the risk of potential damage or inrush current incidents during the restoration process, customers are requested to unplug all electrical appliances during outages. ^RM
