Can someone share some stats around how many students from unis like CU, VIT, Amity, Manipal and SRM get placed at >= 10LPA (pure cash, no bloat) every year. Is it more than ~100 people? What is the batch size? Not the people that were 'eligible' based on attendance.

@GsportsSr4423 @kirat_tw I am currently in 4th year ...these stats are true ..... placement season starts from July 7th semester till December...if you don't get placed between this timeline you won't be placed on campus....most people are not aware of this timeline....they think they can do things later

I have been on both sides, a seeker once and a recruiter now. The truth is, most companies don't care about you. - Companies fire people overnight: Even when a company makes billions in profit, they will fire you in one morning because someone somewhere was not happy. They don't care about your loans or your family. - Companies ignore candidates: When a company posts a job, they get thousands of resumes. They don't read them all, and they don't even tell people when they are rejected. If a company can fire you at any time, why should a candidate show total loyalty before day one? A job seeker has every right to shop around, negotiate, and pick the best offer. They must look out for themselves and their family. If companies only do what is best for their business, job seekers must do what is best for their lives. There is nothing 'nonsense' in it, you are running a business, they are taking care of their needs.

Interviewed a backend developer. Guy was at 21 LPA. We offered 28 LPA, roughly a 33 percent hike. He agreed and confirmed joining. Yesterday he emailed saying he got a 32 LPA offer elsewhere and now wants 36 LPA from us. Nonsense. Why agree in the first place. If you are still shopping offers just say it upfront. We stopped interviewing other candidates and waited through the notice period for the joining date. Now two days before joining, he came back with a new price tag.
