Day 5 - The final day of my UX Design Sprint 🎉 Today was all about refining and implementing feedback. Most of the feedback that I received were around better communicating the game’s round status. I’ve added clearer screens and copy to address this. #SprintfolioUXsprint

So, this is how I spent my last 5 evenings: I am planning to work on a mini-case study and will share it soon. Final prototype: tinyurl.com/ycyuh44m

Thrill (Excitement through danger or risks): The role reveal animation already evokes thrill. To amp it up, we could change the characters' look after each round. Also, adding a text-to-speech algorithm to narrate the story in a suspenseful manner will play a big part here.

2. Subversion (Breaking Norms): Mafia is all about clever misdirection and bluffing. I've added a feature where Mafia can fake locking their screen to avoid suspicion—perfect for sneaky gameplay! I am also brainstorming if sound can be used to trick or misdirect suspicion.

1. Fellowship (Friendship & Community): The traditional Mafia game is all about communication & interaction. My app set up uses AI just to facilitate the game, and doesn’t overdo it. I've added a feature for personalized storytelling - adding a custom prompt to set the scene.

PLEX is a tool/framework that helps create playful products. There are 22 PLEX categories, but I’m focusing on the top 3 that Claude.ai thinks are relevant for my app. Learn more about PLEX from this research article: researchgate.net/publication/25…

So, I will be stepping in as the AI host to let my friends interact with me while using the design of my app to test the overall game setup. This will take some time. Therefore, I decided to use the PLEX framework to think how I can make my design more Playful.

Day 4 of Let’s Build an AI-Powered Mafia Game | 5-Day UX Sprint! #SprintfolioUXsprint Today was all about testing, getting feedback and iterating. I hit a roadblock in user testing because the game involves real-time interaction that’s tough to replicate without a live app.

I also focused on creating mobile-first design since most of the players will be joining from their phone.
