@CraigHope_DM It’s actually a possibility we can go down now , love Howe but he can’t continue with keeping quality players on the bench like he is

Thoughts on XI are pretty clear, then. To summarise, "resignation letter" the gist of it... For me, I understand it. A strong manager picks his best XI, not the XI others want him to. The change of system/some personnel vs SAFC tallied with outside opinion & it backfired The big calls? Hall/Burn... Hall has been poor defensively of late. Keeping back 5 from last week was always likely Ramsey/Joelinton... The latter owes Howe a performance & usually comes good when needed (it's needed here) Willock on left... He was v good last week. Barnes is out of form & probably better option from bench right now Murphy on right... Howe can't play Elanga. Needs must Osula @ CF... He remains biggest threat, in terms of goals & unsettling oppo Woltemade/Wissa on bench... NW isn't an 8 & ran out of form as 9. Last time as a starter @ 10 was SAFC. Looked good last week & could be threat from bench. Wissa... Howe thinks Osula is sharper
Craig Hope@CraigHope_DM

Joelinton returns for Ramsey. Gordon back on bench, where Hall, Woltemade & Wissa remain. Thoughts?

@swinburne_mark @NUFC7890 Played well for 1.5 games just had a bad 30mins. First leg against Barca again was the right tactics Psg 4-1 is one of the best games I've ever seen, tactically against them this season was unbelievable again.

@yates_oli @NUFC7890 The way he is treating certain players, his set up, his pig headedness, his lack of tactical awareness, his use of the squad, his rinse and repeat interviews and his controlling personality is rapidly tarnishing his legend status. Granted he won us a cup I’ll give you that. #NUFC

@swinburne_mark @NUFC7890 PE teacher? Give it a rest, he's arguably the best manager we've had in recent memory. Only one to win us a trophy, yes he's had a bad season and moments of questionable decisions in the 4 years but he's a legend. PE teacher is nonsense

@NUFC7890 🤞it’s true Sam. He needs to go and preferably today. #NUFC board don’t seem to have the bottle or the clout to sack the PE teacher though. I hope I’m wrong.

@DominicMcGregor My view is that it should be ring fenced and invested as part of a UK wealth fund therefore usually always increasing in value to fund pensions for ever and a day. Just as a private pension should do.

I’m 32 years old and I want to change the state pension. With the triple lock, based on historical growth (4.5%) when I reach my pension age. The state pension will be £30,100 a year. This would account for £512bn a year. The current government budget is 1.2Trn. This would be 3x the current NHS budget. The triple lock is unsustainable. Now the debate, no one is saying that pensioners shouldn’t recieve support. That goes without saying. But there shouldn’t be a non-means tested, non contribution based pension which gives everyone blanket support. Especially when you consider 1 in 4 of over 60 years are asset millionaires. My view is, we need to have a means tested only state pension. Which is reassessed every 3 years. There is no “pot” people pay into, national insurance is just a tax - there is no ring fenced fund for a state pension. It comes directly from taxation ever annum. Without changes like this, young people will suffer while older people - who receive their pension and political protection because they actively vote - will continue to have a glorious quality of life.
Good Morning Britain@GMB

More than 12 million pensioners will see their state pension rise 4.8% today under the triple lock. But the government has been accused of doing too little for working-age households so is it time to scrap the triple lock?

Id happily let Bruno, Tonali, Botman, Tino, Wissa and Gordon leave and give Howe another chance if we ended up with something like this. I do feel, despite huge wages, there is a deal to be done for Foden under Pep. Possible loan, a chance to revive his England career. #nufc

From today, Labour has increased the minimum wage to £12.71 an hour, cut energy bills by £117, frozen prescription charges, expanded sick pay and brought in day one rights at work. Not bad for a government that’s supposedly “no different”.

@helloIamBesty Absolutely ridiculous isn't it. He hasn't been at his best this season but he certainly hasn't been as shit as the rest of the fans are making out. Most of the team have been poor this season, Tonali has played most games and run his bollocks off in all of them. Needs support

@Nufc2Everything No one's gunna miss him TBF, he's not lit up this season and he's probably the first or second player you'd see as good business to sell, the other being Gordon. Sell both and we're laughing to the bank. Teams will over pay for both of them this season.

@TheFinPitch @g7zkmss5gs @Magpie24_7 Don't be silly, we only replaced him in the sense that we lost two strikers and bought two but he wasn't replaced. Where's the goals and assists he got us come from this year?

Wayne Rooney has a message for the Newcastle United fans: "Be careful what you wish for. Eddie Howe is one of the best managers in the Premier League, no doubt. Don't push him out. Don't force, don't keep pushing. I know they haven't been great in the league this season, they have had injuries and they have struggled to replace Isak and his goals from last season but just be careful what you wish for because there not a doubt he's a top manager." #NUFC #NUFCNews #Newcastle #EPL #EddieHowe

@Pooliemags1Ttv I am not a huge Tonali fan. I think he is massively overrated. Good player but nowhere near as good as people think. Just watched a 2 1/2 minute video just of him and his mistakes last night. Barcelona targeted him. He looked terrible in the video and he only played 55mins.

Seriously right don’t take this as me saying I don’t rate tonali because it’s not true but he’s the least id be bothered about leaving because I genuinely believe we’ve already replaced him in Ramsey and miley… you could argue even losing tino is a bigger blow because it means we need to right fullbacks #nufc
