I remember thinking: when did these people even have time to read my book? Then I realized that someone named Azadeh Moaveni had written a review in The New York Times. But instead of a genuine review, she started attacking the book right from its title, claiming it was nothing more than an attempt to whitewash the Shah and the killing of peaceful protesters. She even suggested that, between the lines, the book somehow wished the Shah had killed his own people.

🔴سخنان پروفسور اندرو اسکات کوپر و افشای "آزاده معاونی" ، یکی از دشمنان پهلوی: حدود ۱۰ سال پیش که کتاب «سقوط بهشت» را منتشر کردم، همان یکی دو روز اول، سیل فحش و ترول و تهدید روانه اکانتهای من شد و لپتاپم هم با ویروس از کار افتاد. با خود گفتم اینها کِی اصلاً فرصت کردند کتاب مرا بخوانند. بعد متوجه شدم شخصی به نام "آزاده معاونی" در نیویورک تایمز ریویو نوشته و عملاً بجای ریویو، از همان عنوان کتابم شروع کرده به ایراد گرفتن و گفته که این کتاب صرفاً نوشته شده برای سفیدشویی شاه و کشتار معترضانِ پیسفول و انگار لابلای ورقها این آرزو نهفته که کاش شاه مردم رو میکشت و در ادامه هم در مورد من نوشته بود که نویسنده با اسلامیسم دشمنی داره و باعث شده درمانده بشه! و در آخر هم ادعا کرده بود که اتفاقا بعد از سال ۵۷ سهم زنها در جامعه سر به فلک کشید!!!!
