@ananny Thanks Mike! I was blown away by the work of the students in that moment. I feel like learning and moving through this is exactly what we hope for life on campus! ❤️
Two amazing books that, despite being published years ago, still hold a lot of great insights and frameworks for thinking about gaming, esports, and technology!
Notice to all RMIT game students, sports, games & esports fans-haters-lovers. The resources you do not want to miss are here, in free & breezy pdf form. TL's esports book is a top 5 (EVER!) qualitative research beast read for me. Drips with knowledge & perspective. Get into it.
Excited to share my short film with you all this Friday at the @MovingImageNYC as part of Migrant Nation Reel Stories: Film Screening and Community Conversation movingimage.us/event/migrant-…
Join me for a glimpse into delivery worker’s world!
@TylerCushing@augustaquarius@scottalukas no output plans. more a venue to help support researchers work/connecting. there is a great FB group and server from @_DisNet though that is worth checking out fwiw!
@ybika@augustaquarius@scottalukas Sounds awesome! Anything that will come out of this that could be shared with others post-event? I’m thinking about courses I’d teach in early 2024. Would love to cover this in some way.
@ybika@augustaquarius@scottalukas Yeah my only entry point into this convo is through some of the historical/cultural studies stuff on speed & modernity (which iirc Spence engages with but in a less than satisfactory way), been a looong time since I read in that area tho. Curious what comes out of it!
@Dave_Parisi@augustaquarius@scottalukas appreciate the RT btw. I have absolutely no clue how many of us may be poking around at this intersection so kinda feels like taking a leap 😅
