A very old hoarder tenant has created an extreme cockroach infestation in one of our buildings, that has affected 3 neighboring tenants. One of those neighboring tenants has young kids. Another neighbor gave us notice to vacate after getting tired of the roaches. For over 6 months we have tried getting the old guys family to help him clean up and allow us to spray the unit. They neither cleaned up nor allowed an exterminator to enter on several different scheduled dates, when we gave them several days notice. Finally sick of it we filed for eviction. Tenant was assigned a free attorney to defend him in court. Guess who pays for that attorney? ULA tax which was billed as a “mansion tax” to fund the construction of affordable housing pays for Eviction Defense in the City of LA. It doesn’t care who or what the tenant has done. Yes Raman and Bass supported ULA. Yes Nithya just voted to award large hundred million dollar contracts to eviction defense orgs, because those orgs are her buddies and in her political base. Housing has no chance in LA with Raman or Bass. Don’t be fooled, they are the farthest thing from “Housing Candidates”. They have taxed market rate housing out of viability, and turned around to give those taxes to organizations in their political base. LA is in an upside down 🙃 housing world that makes no sense right now! @nithyavraman @MayorOfLA and the DSA are all responsible!

The #Bears have been lobbying for draft pick compensation following the hire of Ian Cunningham as #Falcons GM. Today, the NFL responded stating there will be no picks coming: “The matter is now closed following the club’s appeal. The NFL informed the Bears today they will not receive compensatory picks. The policy is designed to provide picks for the Primary Football Executive position. The League determined Mr. Cunningham did not fill that role with the Falcons as it is defined in League rules.”
