@tzvei_dinim @OhabZedek Fantastic no? I’ve never enjoyed a Hadran as much as when he does it.

If you find yourself on the Upper West Side, stop by @OhabZedek. There you will witness the Pesach miracle of R’ Allan Schwartz making 4 Siyumim at 4 minyanim. But the real miracle is him reciting the Hadran off by heart.

At a @BRSynagogue tonight @SimchaLeiner & Rivie Schwebel sung this @AbieRotenberg18 song.
Years later the harmony and words remain so piercing.

Best wishes for the Jewish New Year from Israel 🍎🍯
We carry in our hearts 48 hostages still held in torture by Palestinian Hamas in Gaza.
We pray for their swift return & a year filled with peace, freedom, and sweetness for all.
As we dip apples in honey, may the outgoing year and its hardships end; may a new year with blessings begin. Shana Tova!

There is a Medrash that says that Gan Eden smelled like an Apple Orchard. So when we place cut up apples on our Rosh Hashanah table, every Jewish home has the same smell as Gan Eden on the anniversary of the few moments humanity got to live in the Garden…
That’s my hot take…

Why do we have a custom to eat apples of Rosh Hashana? It’s a question that has long fascinating me. I included my own explanation in my Hebrew work, B’Rogez Rachem Tizkor. Never heard this idea before. God’s name hidden in the apple. 🍎
