@yedffgd @BantuKingu Yeah, he doesn't think the whole island has conspired against them after treating them so well. And he's really fixated on Zoro. Maybe a bit much, but the hatred for this scene is excessive, in my opinion.

@peterokii Crocodile was taking out pirates in Alabasta. Moria took out loads in the Florian Triangle. Hancock regularly left the island to presumably attack pirates. We know if at least one massive pirate crew Mihawk took out. Kuma was sicced on pirates directly. Weevil hunted th WB crew.

@Platinuro @BantuKingu Literally three arcs earlier, Luffy refused to doubt Nami for a second despite an overwhelming amount of evidence that she was a ruthless pirate who’d been deceiving him all along. Here, he believes Zoro slaughtered a town for no reason because some guy he doesn’t know said so.

@BantuKingu I never understood why people hate this moment so much, it's just a fight between friends over a misunderstanding.
