@jitenkparmar As someone in the same generation, I can relate. There's a lot of misinformation regarding personal finances and a very low scope of understanding of different financial instruments. We don't know a lot beyond trading and Google ads. I do wish, I also have a mentor like you here

Yesterday again received a call from a friend regarding guiding his son (21 yrs) for investing. He requested me to talk to him. I asked him what he wants to do. His answer "trading". This is a repeat of many such incidences in the past few years. Except for a couple of kids most want to do trading. I asked him. Why he wants to do trading and not fundamantal investing. He said he doesn't want to wait for returns. This is a trend I have seen with most of the next gen. They just don't have the patience. And I believe it's the most important thing in investing. I am not judging. I am just sharing the observations I've had from the sample set of maybe 20 such incidences.

Last week, I was part of a meeting of top American academic minds in democracy and political leaders of Indian origin. They agreed on something that top American media has been saying for decades. But now the clamor has reached deafening decibels. “India is a sh!thole country; democracy in India is dead; all its institutions - judiciary, election commission, law enforcement - are corrupt; poverty and casteism is rampant; minorities are being burned at stake; economy is pits….” I exaggerate. But only slightly. You get the idea. @nytimes’s atrocious coverage of India is unsurprising when so many liberal arts professors and experts are busy writing articles and books about India’s decline. Indian people and global corporations seem to be really dumb to not pay attention to their warnings and proclamations of India’s descent into destruction, they and some Indian politicians must be feeling.
