We've got it covered! Pictured: #Peanuts planted into heavy cover = improved #soilhealth and reduced runoff.

These photos from a Whatsapp group of peanut growers and agronomists in Brazil.
Their consensus was clear, as much planting as possible should move to #notill!

We knew it was coming….
#waterhemp found in Oxford County at very high pressure in this field which was sprayed with glyphosate 8 days before these photos were taken.
Samples taken and sent for resistance testing, will update when we have more info.

@AllanRSavory Could holistic grazing replace current feedlots and keep the same amount of meat supply?
English

No, Bob the anti-livestock people tragically are unknowingly reflecting thousands of years of belief that livestock overgrazing cause desertification, and latterly also climate change. A belief, not supprted by any science, as we discovered in about 1965.
There are literally thousands of PhD dissertations on habitat destruction/desertification by livestock AND not a single one ever even defined overgrazing. No need because they "know" it is too many animals. As I showed so clearly in my 2013 TED Talk viewed by now almost 9 million people, even the USDA research plots excluding all animals, established to "prove" they cause desertification before their government shot thousands of Navajo sheep - turned to desert just like the small enclosure you show.
Unfortunately the belief is also constantly fueled by good people promoting rewilding in the UK as a solution to climate change. In such humid countries it does restore biodiversity - but such countries do not desertify because it is almost impossible to cause millions of hectares of largely bare soil between plants no matter what we do. And the entire UK is only about the size of one island off Africa's vast coast Madagascar desertifying seriously. A really tragedy because good intelligent, well-meaning people due to ecological illiteracy are doing the world a great disservice.

@AllanRSavory Maybe they'll start to listen now that the grazing exclusions are also bare.

2 Böden, direkt nebeneinander liegend. Links Nachbarfeld, biologisch bewirtschaftet. Rechts meines, Jahr 4 @Notill. Dr. Gernot Bodner fügte beiden gleichzeitig eine Säure zu, die sämtliche lebende @Organismen „ausbrennt“ - so lässt sich vergleichen, wo mehr @Bodenleben ist. Easy

@makesoilgreat @HorschMaschinen Is winter wheat planted by no till? What was the previouscrop?
English

Cold but educational days in Germany🇩🇪
Interesting to visit AgroVation and @HorschMaschinen factories where Philipp and Michael Horsch shared their thoughts on the future.
But particularly useful to be able to discuss with the agronomists about technique and crop production🌾

Water is a precious resource vital to farmers & food security for all. The climate crisis is making it worse.
I joined @USUNRomeAmb to visit drought-stricken Arizona & to see how data, innovation, governance & policy are central to generating sustainable solutions.

@FarmerJoey37 How do you control the weeds? Did you plant the corn and soy at the same time?
