I guess. I mean, Dan Marino is pretty much the unanimous choice for "best pure passer". Peyton Manning's neck injury ensured he wasn't that. Peyton was possibly the smartest, most savvy QB ever. He had the MVPs. But he choked in the playoffs too much, Eli tied his Rings and Troy has MORE, so that hurts him. I agree that he was even able to be so effective after his neck injury is impressive, but you can't grade on a curve, or people start bringing up excuses for their favorite guy.

Then they tried to add back in the high-scoring fast-break offense, but defenses HAD changed. I think last year was the last time Reid tried to impose his will on the defense his way. Now he's going to impose his will on the defense by what defenses give him. It's a minor shift in focus, if you get it.

I'm pretty sure that Thurgood Marshall would be rolling over in his grave. Knowing that he was replaced by a black man whose only job has been the repress and deny black people equality. Ironically, Clarence Thomas met his wife Ginni in 1986 at an affirmative action conference, which they both opposed. They bonded over making sure the playing field was never level for blacks and a year later in 1987 they married. What's so perplexing about Clarence Thomas is that he benefited from affirmative action during his admission to Yale Law School in 1971. Yale aimed to increase minority enrollment to roughly 10% of the class. He later decided that wasn't a good thing. Clarence Thomas benefited from affirmative action. Then he decided, no other black person should. Self-hatred is a helluva drug.

40-year Chiefs fan here. Mahomes needs to prove that 2nd half of 2025 was an outlier and will never be repeated. He doesn't need to get back to 2019 numbers. But he needs to get back to 2023, where he is so clutch he wins the games even when his stats aren't good, can win anywhere, anytime, against any team.

I’m watching this 2022 AFC championship game on NFL network. It’s nasty how they didn’t even point out 5th down. On the intentional grounding didn’t point out Perine was right there. Didn’t even show the throw to Hurst Burrow threw on like 3rd & 16. Didn’t highlight how bad Chiefs offense was in the 2nd half of the game at all just glazed em. Didn’t even point out how the punt with 30 secs was so dumb and all they had to do was punt it out of bounds and we go to overtime. The way they edited this is crazy.

@Dizzy_3D I'll take your word for it, I don't pay attention to Cowboys fans. But what amuses me the most is Broncos fans acting like this one AFCW Crown means they can brag about "dominating" the Chiefs and Mahomes just as much as the Chiefs have dominated the Broncos for nearly a decade.
