Ashveil in a nutshell: overcoming pain and hardship, going on no matter what, and finding true strength to keep doing the right(ful) thing. Strength is also one of Ashveil's keywords. It doesn't mean he doesn't suffer (he does), but he still finds his way and reasons to continue.

@thebestpetuh This is honestly why I have such a pet peeve with the smooth dom Cassanova characterization in fanworks cause regardless of the position you see him in or who you ship him with etc. the one who would have to initiate the relationship would be the other person 😅

He also doesn't seem very good at dealing w/ (romantic?) hints. Planarcadia ppl repeatedly try to flirt w/ him, yet he always reacts in the most... straightforward way possible Still not sure whether he does that intentionally, but it's for sure quite blunt

My only real pet peeve I have with some depictions of Ashveil in certain fanworks is just that people make him too nice, so it just bothers me Yes he’s a very kind and empathetic person but he’s got edge and snark to him as well, and he speaks quite straightforwardly and bluntly

+1 my view on this: You don't *have to* edit your text to make it pretty if you don't want to, but like a book, a fic is also a 'final product', and if the editing is not appealing to the eye, then it might be harder to read. If you like double spaces, then you're free to use ofc

On AO3, the Rich Text editor used to be wonky (I was HTML-editing everything), but since ~ 1y or st, it works perfectly. All you have to do is copy-paste your text into the rich editor. There won't be extra spaces, and your italics won't get lost either.

@IntenselyReadin Jokes aside, starting is the hardest and getting the daily words in. A 20 min timer can be godsend; I usually tell myself I must either look at my doc for 20 or write 500 words, then I can stop at whichever happens first. Sometimes I do stop after, sometimes only 5h later
