I have never disagreed with a review more in my life.
This is so far off the mark (for me) and really shows me just how curmudgeonly some Star Wars “fans” are.

As I understand it - the reason HOX/POX derailed so quickly was that the most exciting/element was tabled immediately following the author of The First 15 Lives Of Harry August bringing up questions of plagiarism, citing Hickman’s previous mention of the book as a favorite. The raves died as the crucial Moria stuff had to be greatly diminished. Once the lawyers make a call it’s over.
This most important aspect has been buried with time but it’s there for any the investigate.

Educated Guess: Marvel Executives are talking to Robert Kirkman. If outsourcing/licensing is on the table, it would make sense to approach the creative leader with the chops, connections, and track record. Imagine what Marvel Comics would look like if Kirkman could do for the X-Men or the Fantastic Four what he did for Transformers and G.I. Joe.
