Like I said, they could've created a new gossip writer, instead, they chose the laziest path possible and took that away from Penelope while she won't be there to see the storyline through.

Jess is undermining her own writing.

Lady Whistledown being stole from under her and her not caring about it when it was the point of her whole S3 arc is dumb and lazy, bad writing. More people were upset by it than anything else and this was when people thought Penelope would be there to "uncover"

Penelope is LW, if they wanted the mystery of a gossip writer, they should've created a new one. This is LAZY writing.
