On-chain reputation is an underbuilt primitive. Your wallet history is a better CV than LinkedIn for a lot of roles. Who you funded. What you built. When you showed up. Projects like Gitcoin Passport and Orange Protocol are early. The use case is real.

People say "crypto needs a killer app." We already have them: → Stablecoins for cross-border payments → Prediction markets for real-time crowd intelligence → On-chain identity for sybil resistance The problem isn't the apps. It's the entry point to them.

@solana is not competing with @ethereum anymore. It is building something adjacent. The developer culture, the consumer dApps, the meme coin liquidity, the mobile-first approach via Saga, all of this points to a different user base entirely. Two ecosystems can coexist 😎

Honestly, with @solana, there’s one thing you can’t take away: they know how to deliver for developers. And it’s the developers who will build products and protocols that bring real activity to the blockchain and impact price action through fees.

Solana is targeting a finality speed of 100 to 150 milliseconds with its Alpenglow upgrade. For context, it was around 12 seconds before. That is not an incremental improvement, that is a different product. Apps built on this will feel nothing like what we had in 2023.

It’s 100% what needs to be done, but it’s MUCH harder. You have to be able to identify projects, understand what they’re actually about, and make sure they will really deliver. That’s why +99% of people stay focused on price action.

Most people in crypto spend 80% of their time on price and 20% on how the actual tech evolves. I want to flip that. The protocols shipping right now are more interesting than the charts, and most of it flies under the radar.

Something funny about web3 is that the most boring-sounding protocols tend to be the most important ones. Nobody gets excited about data availability layers or cross-chain messaging until those things break and everything stops working.

Hot take: Most crypto apps have a marketing problem disguised as a UX problem. The interface isn't confusing because it's hard to build. It's confusing because nobody talked to a real user before shipping.

I think, the protocols that survived 2022 did one thing differently: they had real users before the bull, not airdrop hunters, actual users. For me, that's the filter for 2026 too!

Cross-chain UX is still broken in 2026, for me. I should not have to know which chain my assets are on to use an app. LI.FI, Relay, deBridge are all working on this. The one that makes bridging invisible wins a massive piece of the stack.

Unpopular opinion: most chains don't need their own token The token is for fundraising and incentives, not because the protocol requires it ETH works as gas on L2s. SOL works on its ecosystem. we don't need 47 new gas tokens to run a bridge.

The best onboarding flow I've seen in web3 recently: - No "connect wallet" on the homepage. - No gas explanation. - No seed phrase. Just the product. The wallet comes later, quietly. That's the standard now.
