incubating @Batch89_Sei was one of the coolest experiences for me in Web3, and just in general I was first introduced to @Midas30_07 (the artist) through @ifyouSei he said there’s a really talented dude from Nigeria who needs some help launching a project previously, Midas would do custom art for projects to get WL spots, but now he was ready to do his own thing we got into a group chat and Midas showed me the Batch89 art I was SHOCKED to see pen art on paper and was BLOWN AWAY by the level of talent this guy had I mean, the amount of detail in these pieces is insane plus, it’s pen art… on paper… you can’t erase that shit and fix mistakes almost immediately I was like “alright, let’s do this” as I got to know Midas and the project, I learned that the reason he was doing pen art on paper was because he literally couldn’t afford a tablet to do digital art at the time it was awesome to see the Sei community rally behind Midas’ art and Batch89 minted out QUICK it was a free mint and currently sits at 420 $SEI (almost $200), which I would say is pretty damn successful Midas has come a long way since we incubated Batch89 (and now has a tablet!) he is now on the team of @Block24_ and @crossover_xo, has made money doing commissioned custom @fuckersforlife, and has been hard at work on @Onyx_sei, which we’re currently in the process of incubating (mint details asap after @moodzonsei) it’s been a great experience being a small part of Midas’ journey on Sei from WL warrior, to esteemed artist, Midas has already had quite the come up and is just getting started I’m super proud of Midas for his hard work, dedication, and talent I'm stoked for MOODZ, Onyx, and more upcoming projects incubated by @s3_labs if you're an artist looking to launch NFTs on @SeiNetwork, open a ticket in the S3 Discord or DM me, we would love to explore ways we can work together and pick up a Batch89 here: pallet.exchange/collection/bat…
