One of my bosses got married, and every single wedding gift he received was donated to an orphanage. Not a single item made it to his house. As for the money sprayed during the wedding, it was all collected in a basket kept beside the couple. He used it to buy fuel, cover other miscellaneous expenses, and share some with the bridesmaids. Not a single naira was spent on anything personal. I asked him why? He said one couldn’t be too careful.

I just refunded a customer 310k and I need to address something important. A customer recently placed an order worth 310k for 10kg of Kilishi and waybill fee inclusive.. He specifically pleaded with me to use a driver’s waybill instead of my usual registered waybill because his sister was travelling out of the country and he needed the package urgently. Against my delivery standard practice, I agreed. I paid my staff to take the package all the way to Zuba for dispatch. If you live in Abuja, you know Zuba is very far from Kubwa. After dispatch, I immediately sent the customer the driver’s contact so he could stay in touch regarding the movement of the package. At some point, the driver’s line became unreachable. Naturally, drivers spend hours on the road and network issues happen. I explained this to the customer and asked for a little patience. Unfortunately, he wasn’t comfortable with the situation and continued calling our business line repeatedly while demanding an immediate refund. To protect my brand and give the customer peace of mind, I refunded the entire 310k. What many people don’t realize is that I was the one who absorbed all the losses. I paid for transportation to dispatch the package, paid for it to be returned, and lost money in the process. This is why I insist on using registered waybills for all orders. Registered waybills provide accountability, tracking, and protection for both the customer and my business. When customers request alternative arrangements outside our standard process, there are risks involved that neither network issues nor road conditions can completely eliminate. Going forward, if you choose a driver’s waybill instead of our registered waybill, please understand that it comes with additional risks. Also, if you have a travel date or a strict deadline, please don’t wait until the last minute before placing your order. Once you know your departure date, place your order at least a week in advance. That gives us enough time to process, dispatch, and deliver without unnecessary pressure on everyone involved. Small businesses are doing their best to serve customers well, but we also need customers to understand that some things are beyond our control. The hard part of what you solely think is imisi’s problem is cos you can quickly label her as crazy cos of how she reacts. Hence it seems like she doesn’t know what she is saying. she can’t clearly express herself the way you expect her to. It’s doesn’t mean she isn’t wrong sometimes but its easier to conclude that she is cos of how she reacts. it’s not a flaw or justification either but i feel it’s easy to see she deals with anxiety, avoidance syndrome and can’t communicate her feelings with the best words.
