Police helped tow his car to a service station so he could fix it and move on. His story spread around social media and now, he’ll receive a new pickup truck from Monobank's founder. This genuinely made me feel sick with homesickness for the home I still have. A man originally from Donetsk, displaced by the war, packed his entire life into a single old car. While driving through central Kyiv, the vehicle broke down under the weight of nearly everything he owned. Inside were 18 chickens in cages, a dog, bags of belongings, and the man himself - an entire life somehow compressed into one aging vehicle. He had already lost his wife and spent the past four years living in the Chernihiv region. Now he was on his way to Uman, trying once again to start over somewhere new.

I saw an update to this story. Mr. Mykola, the car's owner, was brought to a repair station and got his car fixed for free. The next morning, he was able to continue his journey and has reached Uman already.
