Today, on National Principals Day, we celebrate the incredible leaders who bring Yonkers Magic to life in every one of our schools. 🪄 Our principals are more than administrators. They are visionaries, problem-solvers, and champions for our students, staff, and families. 🩵🤍🩶

This May, #YonkersPublicSchools celebrates Jewish American Heritage Month, honoring the rich history, culture, and contributions of Jewish Americans in our communities and across the nation. Together, we recognize the importance of diversity, inclusion, and shared learning.

Lincoln High School is now the proud home of the first-ever hydroponic classroom in the City of Yonkers. This milestone was made possible through an incredible partnership with NY Sun Works and funding from the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets! 🌱 Known as the “Secret Garden,” this innovative space empowers students to build knowledge and a sense of responsibility for caring for their communities, preparing the next generation of environmental leaders. Students proudly welcomed Mayor Mike Spano, Superintendent Soler, Councilmembers John Rubbo and Tasha Diaz, as well as a representative from the office of US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, to showcase their cutting-edge learning environment. Congratulations to the Lincoln High School students and school community on this exciting achievement! Special recognition to Principal Sherman and Ms. Howard for their leadership in bringing this vision to life. #YonkersMagic

Welcome to the Cedar Place Community School! At last night’s Board of Education Stated Meeting, the Trustees unanimously voted to change the name of the Cesar Chavez School to the Cedar Place Community School, a name deeply rooted in the community it serves. As the school moves forward, Superintendent Aníbal Soler, Jr. expressed his thanks to the staff, students, and parents who came together to advance their school. Cedar Place Community School reflects a strong, shared commitment to community and the partnerships that make it possible. Oh yes, #YonkersMagic!
