@thobbsjourno Good points. my only issue with 4:44 is that it has a faux stripped back sound. You're a billionaire, nobody believes a dusty presentation from you, we'll still consider your sincerity. Its just a forced minimalist sound as you say, which ironically kinda hurt the earnestness

I know a lot of people are gonna disagree with this take, but I feel like Jay-Z's 4:44 hasn't aged great. The concerned conscious capitalist dad cleaning up his act thing just feels a bit hollow / well, corny + a lot of the production is stripped back to the point of being dull
